The Space Florida announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME: August 7, 2024, 1:00 p.m. (EDT)

PLACE: The Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Ave, Coral Gables, FL 33134

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Board of Directors of Space Florida will meet in the workshop to discuss the state of Space Florida and its mission to foster and grow the world-leading aerospace industry in Florida. The workshop will be in the nature of a business "retreat" where Board members can discuss the long-term strategic philosophy and other long-range topics.

Notes:

  1. No specific actions or votes will be requested of the Board during the workshop. The Board will have a business meeting the next day, at 9:00 a.m. on August 8, 2024 at the Biltmore in Coral Gables, FL, at which time the Board will be asked to vote on Space Florida's business matters.
  2. After the workshop, Board members will participate in a reception. After the reception, Board members will have dinner together. No business of Space Florida will be discussed at the reception or the dinner. Those events will not constitute meetings of the Board. For that reason, the public will not be able to attend the reception or the dinner.
