Workforce Initiatives

At Space Florida, we are committed to building up the aerospace workforce to match the growing demand for skills in our state. Our approach involves close collaboration with industry and community leaders to bridge the gap between aerospace employers, talent, and training providers. By partnering with industry colleagues, we have developed a comprehensive Master Credentials List, which serves to inform and amplify aerospace-approved credentials and in-demand skills to communities across Florida.

Space Florida Academy Program

Building the workforce of tomorrow starts with inspiring our students. Through the ongoing development of the Space Florida Academy Program, we aim to equip students with the education and pathways necessary to obtain regionally in-demand credentials and skills. Our Space Florida Academy Program connects career and technical education options that are in demand by the aerospace industry to students who desire a career path in the well-paying aerospace industry. These fields include aerospace, advanced manufacturing, construction, cybersecurity/IT, logistics, and semiconductors. The program offers a new trajectory for students to be part of the aerospace industry by breaking down the barriers of legacy perceptions of what an aerospace career requires. Additionally, our educational services extend to ensuring a well-prepared workforce for the future. Through these efforts, Space Florida is driving education and workforce development to meet the evolving needs of the aerospace industry.
