Space Florida, NASA Florida Space Grant Consortium Announce 2018-2019 Research and Faculty Programs

Opportunities Available in Four Categories

EXPLORATION PARK, FL (March 27, 2018) – The NASA Florida Space Grant Consortium (FSGC) and Space Florida are pleased to announce the 2018-19 student and faculty research and fellowship programs. The purpose of this grant program is to support the expansion and diversification of Florida’s aerospace industry by addressing workforce development and increasing statewide academic involvement in space research, technology development, engineering, education and training programs that are consistent with the state’s space industry priorities.
There are four categories for funding opportunities in the 2018-19 student and faculty research and fellowship programs:

  1. FSGC Masters Fellowship Program $10000 stipend for 1 year to Masters student enrolled in a FSGC-affiliated university (US citizens only; permanent residents are not eligible) https://floridaspacegrant.org/programs/masters-fellowship-program/
  2. Dissertation and Thesis Improvement FellowshipThese $5000 awards are intended to provide supplemental funds for items not normally available from the student’s university or other sources. Funds cannot be used for salaries or tuition. (US citizens only; permanent residents are not eligible)https://floridaspacegrant.org/programs/dissertation-and-thesis-improvement-fellowship/
  3. Florida Space Research Program (FSRP)Seed funding for space related Research projects (up to $25K) https://floridaspacegrant.org/programs/florida-space-research-program/
  4. 2018 FSGC/SF- KSC Technology Development ProgramFSGC-Space Florida-KSC Technology Development and Commercialization Program RFP has topic areas for two KSC patented technologies.  We are now seeking proposals to conduct testing as described in the topic areas (Adaptive Thermal Management System (ATMS), and Multi-Dimensional Damage Detection for Flat Surfaces) https://floridaspacegrant.org/programs/fsgcsf-ksc-technology-development-program/
