Space Florida's bi-lateral partnership with the UK Space Agency supports joint aerospace research and development projects between Florida and the United Kingdom. The Space Innovation Partnership builds on the longstanding US-UK relationship, translating our shared commitment to innovation and economic growth into new commercial opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic. Proposals are welcome on any area of the space sector, with particular interest in in-orbit servicing and manufacturing, space transportation, satellite systems, in-space research, and advanced exploration technologies.
Funding available totals $200,000 from Space Florida and £150,000 from the UK Space Agency. Up to two joint projects are expected to be funded, each with a total value of $200,000/£150,000, including contributions of up to $100,000 from Space Florida and £75,000 from the UK Space Agency.
To be eligible, applicants must be a partnership consisting of at least one for-profit Florida company and one for-profit UK company. Applications are independently evaluated and scored by Space Florida and the UK Space Agency, which then jointly agree on which proposals will be funded.
